For me this only makes Katakuri more likeable 😃 I think to an extent we all put on a facade in different situations and with different people. For example at our work place because we have to live up to the expectations that are put on us and when we come home we can relax and be our true selves again.

In anime you have tons of stoic badasses and this is basically showing us "yeah but how are these badasses when they come home?"...it's way more realistic than characters that are just stoic and badass 24/7 and makes Katakuri more relatable and I love that! He has to live up to this impossible image that his family has of him and this is his one time a day he has to escape that and be the way he wants to be. You enjoy your donuts man, you be you!🍩😊

As a person, katakuri is the most decent among the Charlotte family. If you see from his perspective, he is just doing his job, protecting what he believe and care. As a fighter he is strong, cunning, and creative. as a superior with his ranks, he is nice with his underlings and understanding. And last as a human, he has side that he has to or must to keep it to himself. Best antagonist ever.

He's okay with the burden of being perfect as long as he can protect he's family. Mad Respect

When Pudding go to Big Mom, she always make fun of how Pudding looks like (about her third eye), this make Pudding angry and sad I guess! And maybe that's the reason Katakuri hide his true self, he didn't wanted others to make fun of him (which is understandable)

Notice how Big Mom's children has no bond with each other, not even big mom herself has good bonding! they only like those who is strong! Other children notice how perfect Katakuri is! And give him respect! If they knew about his true self they would have behave different with him!
